Name change from Adysseus to StrikeSpark

After a year or so of using the name Adysseus for my company, I have decided to change the name of the company to StrikeSpark. Its easier to remember, easier to pronounce and sounds quick, agile and creative. Adysseus was orignally chosen because it was a combination of Ad and Odysseus(the Greek Hero from Homer's illad".

I will be changing the itunes app name to Strike Spark once i get the website set up sometime in January.

iPhone 5 , iPad 3 and iPad 4 updates for all apps

I have been in the process of updating every single application for adysseus/strikespark during the holidays. All updated trivia apps will be alive around the first few weeks of January. Stay tuned. Major overhaul of the applications graphical features.

Dinosaur and Phonic ABCs will be updated at a later time. I am looking to get a voice actor to say the lines in it. If you wish to volunteer your voice, email me at adysseus.feedback@gmail.com . I am looking for either a British or American type voice. There's about 50 lines of text in the app.

PopularTube has been incredibly overhauled. New UI, updates to everything basically. The old code had been retired by Google so the results were not recent.  PopularTube 2.0 has been submitted to Apple and should be ready by the first week of January 2013

I intend to keep updating PopularTube. Stay tuned for those updates.

Wine Database (Cellar Tracking Tool)

Wine Database was released at the beginning of December and has been incredibly popular. Its safe to say this was a successful release. I hope that all of you enjoy the application. I have also received plenty of feedback from users all of which have been positive.

I would like to thank you all for providing feedback because I made the application for you people, the wine lovers.

Through some feedback I have realized that there are two technical issues.

1. The app will not allow you to post a wine name twice.
2. The app will not allow you to remove a value from a category.

These were originally design choices not bugs that were made during the initial coding phase which can be easily fixed. Do not worry in release 1.2 I will fix these problems.  Basically whatever you users want in the app or fixes and changes, I will make it happen if it is within the realm of possibility. So don't forget to give feedback through email or the itunes connect store.

Release 1.1 that will soon be approved by Apple will not have this fixes implemented. 1.2 should be released by the end of the first week of January.

Release 1.3 will be a big graphical update for the application. I think you people will be happily surprised at what will be in store.

I am also working to improve the website.

Vigorous testing done with iPad 3. PopularTube OK.

We have vigorously tested populartube on the ipad3 and we have found no problems with it. We also rigorously tested it on the iPad 1 and 2 and populartube ran properly as well. It seems that the problem was just an isolated incident. However, in the real world we acknowledge that there are many other factors like ISPs blocking the youtube signal and firewalls. If you are having any problems with Populartube please email our feedback email so we can help you.

PopularTube v 1.6 problems with the iPad 3

One of users has notified us of possible problems with Populartube and the iPad 3. We will be trying to identify the problem and release a patch as quickly as possible. Stay tuned for possible updates. We thank our users for the patience and kind understanding.

Dinosaur ABCs fixed

We have managed to resolve the problems with Dinosaur ABCs and has been given to apple. The update should be avaliable next week.

Dinosaur ABCs technical problems

On behalf of the Adysseus team we apologize for problems with the newest update of Dinosaur ABCs. It has come to our attention that the newest update causes crashes on the iPad. We are looking into this and will release an update that should be available in the appstore next week. We will also endeavour to have a more rigorous testing phase for products before release.

Because this product does not meet our standards we have to remove it from the appstore for the time being until the update is released. However, the iPhone version is still selling under the name ABC!!.

SINGAPORE, Adysseus Studios, today announced the launch of Dinosaur ABCs for the iPhone, iPod and iPad.

Dinosaur ABCs is a new type of educational phonics game where kids can use touch gestures to interact with letters and Dinosaurs. These letters produce phonic sounds and can be moved to form words.  What makes the game so unique is that it is done in a film like interactive storybook where voice narration is used throughout the game.

Kids can join Frank the Trex, Tom the Triceratops, David the Diplodocus, Peter the Pteranadon and Steve the Stegosaurus in exploring prehistoric Earth!

The development team's goal in Dinosaur ABCs was to make a game that that had a combination of five elements fun, interactivity, story telling,  music and lastly Dinosaurs. Many of the educational games on the app store had poor game design, poor interactivity, no story, terrible sound and most importantly were simply not fun.

"We believe that children learn better when they have fun learning. Dinosaur ABCS lets kids have fun learning to spell words and Dinosaur names," said head programmer Tan YL.
In Dinosaur ABCs we aimed to capture the essence of traditional cartoons of the 1960s and 70s like the Road Runner and combine it with the modern capabilities of the iPad where you can interact with the characters on screen.  We painstakingly used traditional frame by frame animation coupled with a great soundtrack to capture the feel of that era of cartoons. The final product creates a new standard for educational games that merges nostalgia of the past with the magic of the iPad that we hope millions of children can enjoy.

Currently Dinosaur ABCs is both avaliable for the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch at a price of $0.99 USD in Apple app stores world wide.
